Bespoke Audio Visual Services
The focus of all our designs is to create flexible and user-friendly systems which are sympathetic to their surroundings and future-proofed for new technological developments.
We offer Audio Visual systems consultancy as a stand alone service or as part of the
overall management of our client's project.
Whether our AV consultancy is taken as a one off service, or as part of
a full project management agreement, a clear understanding of the client's brief and the practical
requirements of the system is crucial.
- What are the most likely applications to be used on a daily basis?
- What industry specific obstacles or specifications will need to be incorporated into the design?
- How will the system fit into the overall IT infrastructure and how will this be managed?
- Does the client have strong ideas about how the system should work?
- Can we find a better and more cost effective means of achieving their requirements?
Our consultants have over 50 years experience of designing Audio Visual systems from corporate
reception areas and high-end boardrooms, to lecture theatres, digital display systems in retail
centres, multiple classrooms in educational establishments, home cinema and automation systems
in the residential sector through to
mission critical control rooms.
We design bespoke AV systems to the clients precise requirements, always
remaining sympathetic to the physical environment. The results are flexible
and user-friendly systems that are future-proofed for new technological developments.
The design phase is crucial, so using professional CAD systems, we produce a comprehensive
specification document.
As part of the design phase we would supply:
- AV System Schematic
- Cable Schedule
- Rack Layout diagram
- AV floor plan (overlayed onto Architects schematics)
We appoint a Project Manager for every installation.
Their prime responsibility is to get the job completed
safely, on budget and on time in order to meet the client's expectation.
Our project managers are responsible for liaising with all other sub-contractors involved within the project
to ensure all key dates and schedules are met.
They control all elements of the process: system documentation,
programming, purchasing, rack build, in-house testing, installation, on-site testing, commissioning and
training.
On completion the project manager compiles all manuals and as-built drawings.
Pixel Projects offers the highest standards of installation, using our trained installation
engineers who are all CTS accredited.
Our installation phase includes:
- First fix cabling creating the AV infrastructure
- All cabling installed as per CAD Schematics in conjunction with cable schedule
- Complete first fix installation including back boxes, equipment mounts etc.
- Rack build - all racks built at Pixel Projects workshop
- Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) provision for witness testing of AV equipment racks at Pixel Projects workshop before installation
- Second fix team for main hardware installation
Our in house programmers are both Crestron and AMX certified.
Our programing phase includes:
- Initial program load and testing carried out at Pixel Projects workshop
- Final testing and commissioning carried out on site
- Post commissioning modification services are available

All Pixel Projects installations are supported by a User Operation Guide which is provided to the client as
standard. In addition O&M’ s are available on request in both hard copy and digital format.
We also offer Audio Visual Systems Training for staff as part of the service once the installation
is complete.
Pixel Projects offers a range of preventative maintenance contracts to protect and extend the life of the
installation. Our maintenance contracts run for a period of 1 to 3 years and typically include the following:
- 2 preventative service visits per year
- Unlimited emergency hardware failure call outs
- Unlimited telephone technical assistance
- 2 - 4 hour response times
- 8 hour fix time
- Asset management (hardware) and net book value costing
- Usage on rooms
- On-site technical support if requested
We have dedicated Customer Service Engineers who carry out both preventative maintenance and emergency call
out visits. All of our Customer Service Department personnel have comprehensive training from all of the
major suppliers and manufacturers so they are familiar with all industry leading hardware.
We have standard maintenance contracts but are able to accommodate any special requirements, such as 24
hour support or on-site spares. For the larger AV and VC users we can provide a facilities management
service with on-site engineers and technicians.
All end user training is designed to maximize the clients understanding of the system and is run for the users in their own rooms, on the equipment
they will be using, on a day to day basis. We like to keep classes small, up to a maximum of 6 people. On average, a simple room with an interactive
whiteboard and projector will need a 1 hour training session, whereas a more complex boardroom will take between 2 to 3 hours.
Pixel Projects also runs refresher courses as required including practical hands-on courses for both interactive whiteboards and video conferencing equipment.
